5S Training Objectives 

With the 5S training, you will be able to: 

  • Understanding 5S 
  • Understand the methodology and how it can be implemented in the different workplaces 
  • Demonstrate the impact of 5S on the organization through implementation in pilot area 

Continuously improve workplace organization and opportunities to improve, with only 5 steps.  

 

What is 5S? 

5S represents 5 disciplines to maintain visual management and organization at the workplace. It is a fundamental activity to improve business. 5S represents systematic approach for productivity, quality and safety improvement in all types of business.  

5S program focuses on having visual order, organization, cleanliness and standardization.  

5S simplifies and organizes any work environment, reduces waste and non-value activity while improving quality efficiency and safety. Also helps in the identification of waste. 

The program is called 5S, since all steps start with an "S", using five Japanese disciplines:  

  1. Seiri (Sort)  
  2. Seiton (Set in Order)  
  3. Seiso (Shine)  
  4. Seiketsu (Standardization)  
  5. Shitsuke (Sustain)  

These five techniques are helpful in organizing workplace day to day.  

 

5S training course 

The participants will attend a theoretical training session to support the workshop implementation of 5S on a pilot area. 

The 5S training workshop training workshop will be performed using specific templates and a benchmark example.
