FRACAS and Root Cause Analysis Training Objectives

With the Failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system training, you will be able to:

  • Understand FRACAS process
  • Learn how to link FRACAS with the EAMS/CMMS
  • Understand the importance of the asset failure catalogue
  • Link the FRACAS with other problem-solving tools and software’s
  • Learn how to improve the problem description
  • Link with the existing maintenance plan – how can be corrected/improved
  • Understand how to confirm when the problem is solved and solution effective

Eliminating or reduce the cause of failures and defects to improve asset uptime, using a standard multi-step RCA process to identify the primary-cause of a problem, with a multi-disciplinary team will help you to correct and prevent asset failures.

What is Failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system?

A failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS) is a process for reporting, classifying, analyzing failures and defining and implementing corrective actions in response to those failures.

It is typically used in an industrial environment to collect data, record and analyze system failures and should be incorporated on the EAMS or CMMS to support reliability improvement.

FRACAS records the problems related to a product or process and their associated root causes and failure analyses to assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions.

Failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system training course

The participants will attend a theoretical training session in FRACAS and a workshop that will allow the participants to implement a FRACAS on an asset problem.

The FRACAS training workshop will be performed using specific templates and a benchmark example.
