What is Value Stream Mapping?

Value-stream mapping is a lean-management method for analyzing the current state and designing a future state for the series of events that take a product or service from its beginning through to the customer with reduced lean wastes as compared to current map.

A value stream focuses on areas that add value to a product or service, whereas a value chain refers to all of the activities within a company.

Value-stream mapping usually employs standard symbols to represent items and processes, therefore knowledge of these symbols is essential to correctly interpret the system problems and opportunities.

Value Stream Mapping training course

The participants will attend a theoretical training session in Value Stream Mapping and a workshop that will allow the participants to implement VSM concepts on a pilot process.

The Value Stream Mapping training workshop will be performed using specific templates and a benchmark example.
